How to find a team id and a channel id in Microsoft Teams

Introduction

Microsoft Teams can act as a central hub for your team’s work. Connect other tools and apps to your teams and channels by getting the team id or channel id from Microsoft Teams. This howto works in the desktop client as well as the web client of Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft Teams - Get a team id

• Navigate to the team of which you would like to get the id

• Click on the (…) three dots on the right side of the team name

• In the menu click on Get link to team

• In the popup that appears you can find the team id as the value of the group id parameter

Microsoft Teams - Get a channel id

The process is very similar to the one described above.
